50 Free Cards from Shutterfly

Check this out!  Shutterfly is offering 50 free holiday cards available for bloggers!
 http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/

Every year since 2006 when Emilia was born we made a photo book for her year in photos.  Since I'm not a scrapbooker and I'm not good at printing them (http://www.shutterfly.com/prints) and putting them in an album, this is what I do with the thousand pictures I take during the year.  We make a hardback 8x8 album and I usually finish the week of Thanksgiving since there's usually a good offer going on.  Like right now you buy 1 album and get the others 50% off.

We always get 3 copies - 1 for my parents, 1 for Chris's parents, and 1 to keep.  So this year I'm making 2 books - 1 for Beau (Volume 1) and 1 for Emilia (Volume 5).  Granted Beau's is more sparse trying to fill up 20 pages with 3 months of pictures and I added 10 pages for Emilia!

We're also making a Christmas card this year since we can add more than 1 picture.

Diaper Cake

Here's a diaper cake that I made for a friend at work who's having a baby girl.  I think it turned out super cute and we were able to get a lot of full size items off the registry since 3 of us went in together for it.  The cake contains:
  • 1 package of Huggies pure and natural diapers (under the blankets)
  • Sassy Go-go bug stroller toys (on the elephant's arms and back)
  • Johnson's head to toe baby wash (side of box)
  • Johnson's natural baby shampoo (side of box)
  • Johnson's baby powder (between elephant's legs)
  • Ladybug 4 pack of receiving blankets (2 wrapping diaper layers, 2 in box)
  • Elephant stuffed animal
  • Baby box

The Wiggler

I was trying to get a cute picture of Beau in his monkey pjs from Kerry. Emilia was helping, Beau kept grinning (he likes to flirt now) but the shots are blurry. Guess I should have used a real camera and not the iPhone!

Oh I should have updated pictures on here soon since I'm off next week. Yes, that means I will be working on Volume 1 of Beau's album and Emilia's Volume 5 of yearly pictures for our parents.

Halloween Weekend

Beau had his 1st parade at school... and he was asleep during it! Emilia was very excited that she was the line leader for her class in the parade. Her class sang "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" for us.

Beau was worn out after spending Friday at home with me and then the parade at school.

Saturday's soccer game. Those are glitter stars on her cheeks since she said that's what real soccer players wear. It was a great game. It's amazing how the team gets better every game. They ended up tied 1-1 but they made a lot of shots on the goal and their goalie kept it out and it was the same with the other team.
