Mom's 60th Birthday

My mom's 60th birthday was on Sunday. After having breast cancer twice nearly 15 and 20 years ago and skin cancer, I'm so grateful that we got to celebrate 50 and now 60! We didn't have a crazy party or anything. We just went up to the lakehouse and brought her 3 grandkids. I didn't take any pictures but here's one with Beau at the ranch a couple of months ago.

Emilia's 1st Day of Kindergarten - Part 2

And then when Emilia got to Primrose, Zara had on the same outfit!

My strong family

Anyone remember this?

Well it happened again.  This time coming out of HEB.  And the person doing the pulling of the door handle was Emilia.  Last time it was the driver door and this time it was the rear passenger door.  How crazy!  So I guess I have the strongest 5 year old on the planet!

Teddy Bear Tea

Emilia starts kindergarten tomorrow but she met her teacher last Thursday at the Teddy Bear Tea.  Her friends Gabby and Miranda from Primrose are also going to school there but they're all in different classes.  But she does know two kids in her class-- She played soccer with Diego and his twin sister Isabella live just down the street!

Beau's 1st Birthday

Just a few pictures from his actual birthday...

Beau's Duck Cupcakes

We made duck cupcakes for Beau's birthday.  The heads were donut holes and the tails were half a marshmallow.  The beaks are orange starburst that were flattened and the eyes are brown mini M&Ms.  They looked ok but their heads started coming off once they were out of the refrigerator!  Dipping them in the yellow icing was a pain and next time we'd probably just ice them normally.

Beau's 1 Year Pictures

Before the pictures...

We went to Portrait Innovations and actually had a lot of good pictures considering the flash seemed to scare him this time and he was crying half the time.  Thank goodness we planned on the John Deere tractor pictures since he was all about playing on it!

 My favorite!
