Emilia celebrated her 6th birthday almost 2 months ago at the park but I'm just now getting them posted. It was HOT but we had Kona Ice snowcones so that almost made up for the cake landslide spectacle. Buttercream and heat do not mix. I wish I would have had a picture of it slowly collapsing! At least we had cupcakes too.
Whoops! We forgot to add the oranges.
Sparkler candle... Did that distract from the cake slide?

New house paint
We did it! Well we hired someone to do it. I've disliked the color of our house since we moved in but we finally did something about it. Also notice the nice, clean powerwashed driveway and patio! I just drive up to our house everyday and love it (probably more than anyone should love new paint). I had already changed the paint for the front door last year so we didn't get that repainted.
Before colors:
Tan, mocha trim, bronze shutters.
Now:
Sherwin Williams colormatched to Benjamin Moore: Weimaraner, Mascarpone trim, and Wenge shutters.

Kindergarten Picnic
Tomorrow is Emilia's last day of kindergarten. Hard to believe this was in August...
Today was the kindergarten picnic. They sang 2 songs and then we had a picnic lunch. She has loved every minute of kindergarten and is already planning on visiting Ms. Davis' room next year!

Company Picnic (Part 1)
My company picnic was on the Kemah Boardwalk this year. The camera died pretty soon after arriving so this is missing some of the train pictures, the 1st carousal ride, Ferris wheel, Emilia and I on the swings and Chris and Emilia on the Drop Zone. She and Chris rode on the wooden roller coaster but Emilia didn't like it so I didn't get to go.

Emilia made herself some new friends so she could do the teacup on the carousel.

Phone pictures dump
I haven't forgotten about the blog. I just don't have any pictures downloaded from the camera! It's been busy around our house. Emilia had her last soccer games of the spring and also started swim practice. She had her time trials last Saturday and placed 6th in Freestyle and 8th in Backstroke out of 18 girls in the 6 & under group.
This was taken at a Pump It Up birthday when a group of kids piled into the tornado machine. The number on the back wall is the wind speed mph.
Emilia was showing off her pink glitter Toms.
We hardly have any pictures of Freckles since he ends up as a blur trying to be next to me.

Sneak peek- Our house is getting painted if the rain will stop long enough for them to finish! This is after it had been pressure washed and caulked with the color test samples up.
