Beau's Room- Update #1

Original Post

We started to hang some of the decorations up...

I like the red changing cover better than the light blue stripped one.

Also here's the painted bathroom. I still need to hang the shelf up above the towel rack about the toilet, get white towels/mats, and stuff by the sinks for soap, toothbrushes, etc.

Is there a difference?

26.5 weeks

29.5 weeks

Is there a difference in these pictures taken 3 weeks apart? People at church were asking how many days I had to go. Days? How about 2 MONTHS!

On a happier note, we painted Beau's bathroom this weekend and it looks great. Now we can start decorating!

Happy Flag Day!

The flag of the United States was adopted in 1777, 200 years before I was born.  Happy 233rd Birthday!

Show Us Your Life - China Patterns

Kelly's Korner

These are the patterns that we picked out at Foley's over 10 years ago.  I still love them and think that they're classics that will never look dated.

Tomato and Spinach Pasta Toss

This is a quick and yummy Kraft recipe.

Ingredients:
2 cups rotini pasta, uncooked (or use your favorite pasta shape)
1/2 lb.  (225 g) Italian sausage, casing removed (We use turkey sausage)
1 pkg. (283 g) baby spinach leaves (10 cups)
1 can  (19 fl oz/540 mL) Italian-style stewed tomatoes, drained
1 cup Kraft Part Skim Mozzarella Shredded Cheese
2 Tbsp.  Kraft 100% Parmesan Grated Cheese

Make It!
COOK pasta in large saucepan as directed on package.
MEANWHILE, crumble meat into large deep skillet; cook on medium-high heat 10 to 12 min. or until done, stirring occasionally. Drain, reserving meat in skillet. Add spinach and tomatoes; stir. Cook 2 min. or until spinach is wilted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cover to keep warm.
DRAIN pasta; return to pan. Add meat mixture and cheeses; toss lightly.

prep time = 5 min
total time = 20 min
makes 6 servings, 1 cup (250 mL) each

Yes, that is spinach hanging out of her mouth on that last picture.

Emilia's new hat

So I ordered 3 headbands and 1 hat and they arrived in the mail today.  She loves it when I get her surprise presents.  Here's Emilia wearing the hat with the detachable flower pin.  She likes it on top, but I moved it down for the 2nd picture.  She modeled all the headbands for me and then did it again for Chris.  She's going to be one stylish girl (and it will keep her out of my headbands).

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner - Stephenie Meyer

You can read it for free until July 5th!  It's a quick and easy read plus it's fun to know the background of the newborns.

Buy Pediped and help Make-A-Wish

Pediped website

This is the time of year when we order Emilia's pedipeds.  She's wearing the ones I bought in the winter sale so I had her pick out a pair and bought them in the next size.  Not only are the shoes on sale for a reasonable price, but also 50% of the purchase price goes to Make-A-Wish.

Here are the shoes that I ordered for Emilia.  Yes, she wanted the ones with mariposas.

And here are the ones for Beau.

Sale!

These look so cute and the price is right. Hopefully I can get Emilia to pick out some new headbands tonight.

Cauliflower or baby?

Our baby is the size of a head of cauliflower (16 in, 2.5 lbs).

This is one active baby kicking me all the time... just like Emilia. I'm still hoping for a nice, calm child :-) Emilia can watch my belly move and feel him kicking.

Beau's Room- Work in Progress

Beau's room is decorated with a red, white, and blue sailboat theme. It's mostly a mix between Restoration Hardware's baby&child and Pottery Barn Kids. We have all the big stuff like furniture but there's still a lot of accessories to hang up. Our curtains have been on backorder since the end of April and should arrive at the end of this month. The letter B is also backordered.

Chris is planning on painting the bathroom a dark navy this summer once he's out of school which will look good with all the white tile in the bath, white countertops and cabinets, and white floor tiles.

We bought the sailboat and the U.S. pledge is a cross-stitch that my mom did for my brother's nursery. There's also another cross-stitch with bears holding American flags. All of those books and toys were Emilia's and there's more hiding in the closet!

Emilia picked out this blanket for Beau.
