Day 1 Melbourne - Eureka Skydeck

We left Perth on the Thursday before Good Friday for a vacation in Melbourne.  So between the public holidays for Good Friday, Easter Monday and Anzac Day, I only took 3 days off of work and the kids were on their 2 week school holiday between Terms 1 and 2.

We started off with a 3am alarm, 4am taxi, and 6am flight. A 3 hour flight to Melbourne (state of Victoria) was so quick compared to out last flights to Dubai and Houston!  We caught a shuttle bus (and Beau took a quick nap) from the airport to the city center bus terminal. Then we transferred to a free one that took us to the furnished apartment (Shortstay SouthbankONE) where we would live for the week.  We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom, 1 bath to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath so that was really nice plus we could make breakfast and dinner in the apartment.

So Thursday afternoon, we had lunch at Grill'd along the Southbank Promenade and then took a quick walk to see the Eureka Skydeck on 88th floor that overlooks all of Melbourne.
